چکیده

As with other animal species, one of the most important challenges encountered in race horse breeding is performance and economic losses caused by infectious diseases. Antibiotics are common drugs used for protection against Recently occurrence antibiotic resistance, serious complications have emerged terms human health. For this reason, to determine resistance bacteria, many research studies been carried out world Türkiye. However, Türkiye no comprehensive study has yet conducted on horses. Within scope study, it was aimed investigate antibacterial susceptibility Streptococcus spp. Staphylococcus agents identified through isolation from tracheal aspiration fluid samples taken thoroughbred horses brought 75. Yıl Hippodrome Hospital. Disk Diffusion Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) tests were susceptibility. Susceptibility profiles strains some penicillin, cephalosporin, aminoglycoside, tetracycline, rifamycin carbapenem group determined. Also, determined that 1 10 sensitive amoxicillin ampicillin-sulbactam; moderately penicillin amikacin resistant trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, kanamycin, gentamicin, enrofloxacin rifampin.

Antimicrobial resistance in Staphylococcus spp

Staphylococcus aureus and coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (CoNS) are the main agents of nosocomial infections. The antimicrobial resistance of these microorganisms has increased worldwide, justified by the selective pressure caused by the use of broad spectrum antibiotics. The prophylactic antibioticotherapy is also a concerning factor, because it increases the risk of infection, and difficul...
